Marine Audits
Findings written so they can be closed.
Independent audits attended by practising masters and engineers — with a debrief onboard before the auditor leaves and corrective actions that are verified, not filed.
Overview
Marine Audits
An audit report is only worth the corrective action it produces. Ours separate what is unsafe from what is merely untidy, and each finding carries a proposed action, an owner and a date.
We audit vessels we do not manage. Independence is the point of the exercise.
Scope of work
What is included
Internal ISM / ISPS / MLC audits
Carried out to the schedule your Document of Compliance requires, covering document review, physical verification, drill observation and interviews with the ranks who do the work.
Navigational audits
Bridge team management, passage planning, ECDIS use and watchkeeping practice assessed at sea against industry best practice.
Vetting & inspection preparation
Readiness for SIRE 2.0, CDI, terminal and charterer inspections — including crew coaching, document trails and closing out historic observations.
Office audits
Shore-side audit of the management system, including designated person ashore function, purchasing, crewing records and management review.
Corrective action verification
Closeout evidence reviewed and signed off, then re-checked at the next attendance so nothing reopens quietly.
