Technical Management
Maintenance planned, not reacted to.
Superintendency by practising chief engineers — planned maintenance, dry dockings, procurement and budgets controlled against a documented baseline.
Overview
Technical Management
Technical management protects the asset. Our approach is to establish a documented condition baseline at takeover, run maintenance to a planned schedule rather than to breakdown, and report actual spend against budget every month.
Attending superintendents visit the vessel. Findings, photographs and corrective actions are recorded so that the next attendance verifies closure instead of rediscovering the same defect.
Scope of work
What is included
Planned maintenance
Planned maintenance system set up or taken over, jobs scheduled against running hours and calendar, and compliance monitored from shore with monthly exception reporting.
Dry docking
Specification drafting, yard tendering and evaluation, on-site supervision by our superintendent, daily progress and cost reporting, and full closeout documentation.
Repairs
Afloat repairs, riding squads and emergency response, with scope, quotation and completion evidence provided to the owner before invoices are passed.
Budget control
Line-by-line annual OPEX budget agreed with the owner, then reported against monthly with variance explained — no surprise year-end reconciliations.
Spare parts procurement
Open-book purchasing through an audited supplier panel, with quotations shared, lead times tracked and critical spares held to an agreed minimum stock.
Technical inspections
Periodic condition inspections, pre-vetting attendance, machinery performance analysis and lube oil trend monitoring.
